Monthly Wedding Feature: The Jenkins Wedding
I hope everyone has been having a lovely Fall/Winter, but with Spring right around the corner (and hopefully some sunshine), I thought it was time to share some of the beautiful weddings I worked on last summer to kick off the start to this fast-approaching wedding season!
This month I am featuring the Jenkins Wedding. It was such a pleasure to be apart of Haley’s wedding day! She and her husband got married out on Sproat Lake, Vancouver Island. They were fortunate enough to have one of the most beautiful days with the perfect lighting for all of their photos. Haley’s vision for her wedding was to have something close to home, fun, and laid back, and that is just what her wedding photos portray.
Haley is everything you’d expect from a West Coast Bride. When we met up months prior to her wedding to go over her makeup for the day, she was clear that she wanted her look to be as natural as possible as she is not one to wear makeup regularly.
The Bridal Look:
Skin: Josie Maran Argan Oil Moisturizer to give a lightweight moisturized glow to the skin. Cover FX Pore Refining Primer to even out the skin tone and ensure makeup lasts all day. Makeup Forever HD long-wear foundation for a lightweight coverage that looks great in photos. Finished off with the Laura Mercier translucent powder to set the makeup.
Eyes: Laura Mercier eye shadow primer to prep the eyes before shadow. Makeup Forever ‘Champagne’ waterproof shimmer stick for a nice natural hue to the lids. Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette was applied in the crease of her lid to give some dimension. The look was finished off with a set of Ardell lashes and smudged top liner in MAC ‘teddy’ eye pencil.
Cheek & Lip: To give Haley a nice natural glow we used Laura Mercier‘s Bronzer ‘002’ and a light dust of NARS ‘orgasm’ blush. To complete the look we used the Ilia Beauty cream highlight in ‘polkadots and moonbeams’.
